It's time for SRC again! Each month, we're paired with another blogger, and we get to pick a recipe from their blog to showcase. This month, I got Julie from White Lights on Wednesday. I wasn't sure what to make. I thought about her Coconut Cranberry Granola, which led me to some sweet treats - Strawberry Pudding Pops and Baked Alaska. (I've been intrigued by Baked Alaska since playing The Sims since it's one of the food options.) Then I saw Meringues. I've wanted to make meringues for a while, and now is my chance! I just made a minor change by using maple syrup instead of sugar since I wasn't sure if the sugar would dissolve completely or still feel a bit grainy. I also opted not to add any food coloring since we weren't making these for any particular special occasion. Hope you enjoy these light and airy treats!
What are some of your favorite meringue flavors?

ReplyDeleteGreat choice for SRC. I love Meringues, and it's been years since I made some. Now I want to go and search out my Mom's recipes, she made the best ones.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried flavouring meringues - maple sounds like a gorgeous addition.
