Everyone's probably had hot chocolate at some point, but this Pink Peppercorn Hot Chocolate differs! It (obviously) uses pink peppercorns (aka red peppercorns), somewhat of an imposter. In fact, pink peppercorns aren't true peppercorns at all. They're dried berries, but don't let that fool you. These pink peppercorns have a slight floral quality and they're less "(black) pepper" flavored, but they still have quite a zing. In fact, these pink peppercorns are the same ones used in Ma Po Tofu and Chinese Smoked Duck. We'd actually purchased these pink peppercorns for smoked duck, but what to do with the rest of the package? I knew I had to give this pink peppercorn hot chocolate a try as soon as I saw this recipe on Kayotic Kitchen!
Are you adventurous enough to try pink peppercorn hot chocolate?
