When it comes to food in general, high-brow cooking and preparation is usually the furthest thing from my mind, and salmon is no different. Salmon conjures up all sorts of images ranging from the grizzly wilderness man cooking fresh, wild-caught salmon off the icy Pacific shores or the social elite dining only from the finest, haute cuisine eateries. For me, it’s a pack of frozen fillets found at my local grocery; it’s not the finest money can buy, but it’ll do. There's a growing consensus salmon’s a healthy fish - chock full of omega-3 fatty acids. It might even be helpful for a healthier cardiovascular system, so there’s a definite plus in springing a little more cash for fish. Even keeping things simple, this fish can be plenty enjoyable.
