After posting about the Caramelized Onion and Date Flatbread, I had some people ask me what kind of flatbread I used. Well, I'm happy to report that I made a super easy and basic flatbread. I figured I would let the dates and caramelized onions star, center stage, so I wanted to make a very basic flatbread. I thought about using the cheesy flatbread again, but I didn't want the cheesy flavor of the flatbread to take away from the dates. (I did reuse the picture from the cheesy flatbread, since they look pretty similar and I ate this flatbread before I could get a picture. Sorry!) This basic flatbread turned out perfectly. It was nice and crispy, almost cracker-like, a perfect delivery device for the very flavorful Medjool dates and caramelized onions. And super easy too! Just mix some of that instant flour mix with some hot water, and you're just about ready to bake! This flatbread can go from raw materials to the table in less than 10 minutes!
