I've always liked this interesting combo of a dried plum (the kind you get from the Asian grocery) and a tomato. You basically cut a hole into the tomato and push a dried plum down, then let the flavors meld together. I usually do this step at least overnight in the refrigerator. Once the flavors meld, you have the sweetness of the tomato playing against the saltiness of the plum to create a refreshing treat.
What's an odd treat you enjoy?
Plum 'Mater
by CJ HuangAn interesting, yet refreshing combo of salty dried plum and sweet tomato.
Materials:
Mass | Weight | Volume | Number | Material | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | tomato | I used a Roma tomato. | |||
1-2 | dried plum(s) |
Methods:
- Make hole in top of tomato. I like to cut through all the seed compartments to allow for faster flavor diffusion.
- Push plum into hole.
- Refrigerate overnight to let flavors meld.
I miss you and your weirdness! :-)
